The quality assurance and improvement system of the Faculty of Medicine Osijek is based on principles, criteria and methods for planning, monitoring, evaluating and proposing system improvement measures, in accordance with the criteria specified in the Act on Quality Assurance in Science and Higher Education, the Standards and guidelines for quality assurance in the European Higher Education Area (ESG), the Statute of the University of Osijek and the Statute of the Faculty of Medicine Osijek. Besides the Regulation on establishment and function of quality assurance system at Josip Juraj Strossmayer University of Osijek, the quality assurance and improvement system is also defined by the Rulebook on the organization of the quality system of higher education of the Faculty of Medicine Osijek and the Quality Manual of the Faculty of Medicine Osijek.
The goal of the quality improvement system of the Faculty of Medicine Osijek is to build an institutional mechanism for systematic evaluation and coordination of initiatives and development programs with the permanent purpose of promoting high standards of professional development of stakeholders in all areas of the Faculty's activities.
The quality policy of the Faculty of Medicine of Josip Juraj Strossmayer University in Osijek is based on a permanent commitment to meeting a high level of quality and competitiveness, the satisfaction of all stakeholders, the constant training and improvement, as well as good communication in the business and work environment.
Based on the Regulation on establishment and function of quality assurance system at Josip Juraj Strossmayer University of Osijek, the Office for Improvement and Assurance of Higher Education Quality was founded. The Office works in coordination with the University centre for the Improvement and Assurance of Higher Education Quality and is responsible for quality assurance and improvement at the Faculty of Medicine in Osijek. The main activity of the Office is to propose initiatives and implement development programmes, defined standards and criteria in cooperation with the University Centre for Quality, to cooperate with the Commission for Quality, to coordinate and implement evaluation procedures, encourage professional development of teachers, associates, managers and administrative staff in the field of quality, with the purpose of continuous quality assurance and improvement.
The Faculty of Medicine Osijek has a Committee for Monitoring and Assurance of Higher Education Quality, which cooperates with the Office for Improvement and Assurance of Higher Education Quality and the Centre for the Improvement and Assurance of Higher Education Quality of Josip Juraj Strossmayer University in Osijek.
