Shortened title: MD
Completed four-year high school and passed the state graduation exam (Das Abitur).
The selection of applicants is based on the results of the classification procedure.
The classification procedure contains the points achieved on:
1. the success achieved at the state graduation exam - a maximum of 200 points
2. the verification of the candidate's abilities (knowledge test, cognitive skills and personal qualities test, interview with the committee) - maximum 500 points
3. the verification of the candidate's motivation and candidate’s previous qualifications (e.g.: volunteer work in health care institutions) - maximum 300 points

Professional status is regulated by the Act on Regulated Professions and Recognition of Foreign Professional Qualifications (Official Gazette 124/09) and in compliance with the Directive 2005/36/EC of the European Parliament.
The students of this study gain knowledge of general subjects, basic medical, pre-clinical, clinical and public health subjects. After participating in various forms of teaching and by working at clinical departments, they are able to solve practical medical problems.
The completed study of medicine serves as an excellent foundation for additional, scientifically oriented education at postgraduate doctoral studies or numerous specialist postgraduate studies at our Faculty, as well as similar higher education institutions in the country and abroad.
