After several decades, the Scientific Assembly of Slavonia and Baranja was revitalized in the organization of the Institute for Scientific and Artistic Work of HAZU in Osijek and Josip Juraj Strossmayer University in Osijek with the theme “Demographic revitalization of Slavonia and Baranja”. The conference was held on October 17 and 18, 2024 at the Economic Center in Osijek in the form of a panel of eminent invited lecturers of various expertise and on the second day, in the form of parallel presentations of scientific topics. Scientists and researchers of the Osijek Faculty of Medicine participated this time with 4 presentations in which more than 20 scientists were involved. During the Scientific Assembly itself, students of the FizIOS section of our faculty, with the help of the staff of the Office for Science, Projects and Inter-Institutional Cooperation, presented informative materials of our active national and international projects, information about studies and studying at MEFOS in the exhibition spaces, and measured arterial blood pressure and glucose in blood in order to increase the awareness of the importance of keeping and taking care of the participants' own health at the Scientific Assembly.
The papers presented at the Scientific Assembly will be published in the Proceedings, which is classified as A1 level, after peer review.
